This chair is a great choice for the beach. It's very comfortable and convenient. I love using it.
The five positions are wonderfully comfortable. It would be nice to have one more position just before the chair goes all the day down to it's 180 position, but that's just nit-picking.
The two pockets on the back of the chair are wonderful. And having a cooler right on board is super convenient. While the cooler pocket could definitely be about an cubic inch bigger, for me it has comfortably fit two ice packs and two cans of soda.
Being able to wear this as a back-pack means a hand-free walk to the beach. You also end up with some additional "storage" space when it is folder down, as you can tuck a towel, book, or something narrow inbetween where the chair seat folds down to meet the chair back.
If you are a beach bum, I also highly recommend the Genji Sports beach pop-up tent to go along with your chair... Check it out!Push up instant Beach Tent Beach Sunshelter It goes great with my chair. I'm able to tuck it into the "additional storage" space on my chair because it folds down so well.
